"Jiminy" is the smallest foal we have ever had at MTF. It looks like he will mature at about 24"-25" He is a replica of his sire, Scout, our 29" sorrel blanketed appaloosa with mottling, and he has a small blanket on his hips. Like his sire, Jiminy is well balanced for such a diminutive guy: correct, nice long legs, etc. He is so handsome. His large eyes give him the look of a toy rather than a real horse.

Sugar is a daughter of MTF's few-spot stallion, Snakecharmer out of a black roan mare. Sugar is a few-spot/snow-cap herself! She is was born with a 6 inch canon bone, so she will probably mature between 28 to under 30 inches. She is striking and leggy, with a naturally pencil-thin neck, and we are thinking of keeping her to add to our sting of broodmares, to cross with Scout.

Nicknamed "Boogie" this colt is surprisingly elfish for a Legacy son- he had a 6 1/2 inch canon bone  at birth, which places his height at maturity at about 28-29 inches. He is leggy and well balanced for such a tiny frame, and even his ears are nice and tiny. Boogie is correct, with a good bite and straight legs. We are still figuring out his color- bay? Brown with some spots? His dam is a minimally marked black pinto.

Cloud was our last foal for the 2007 season. His diminutive size surprised us given that his sire is Legacy and his dam is 30" tall. He is the same size as our foal by Scout, Oreo. They both had 6" canon bones which predicts their height at maturity at 26"-28". He has turned into a lovely silver dapple. Cloud is for sale.

BANDIT is our first Legacy foal! He is the product of strong leopard appaloosa genes from his sire and his coloring is very similar to that of his dam at birth- a bay snowcap! He has Legacy's proud bearing and his dam's pretty head. Bandit has the phenotype that throws spots, so appaloosa breeders take note! He has a pedigree to die for: aside from his multi-champion sire, Francisco of Kilverstone appears on three of his lines (Legacy is double bred and his dam, is a maternal granddaughter) as well as, of course, Menelek. Little "Shimmy" is leggy, elegant, and so sweet you will find her hard to resist. Her light grey color at birth usually means that she will be a silver dapple later on. She could be a nice show prospect.
